The Carbon Trust is a government-backed scheme. It provides interest free loans for capital purchases such as heavy catering equipment and hardware. Loans are only granted for replacement equipment which is more energy-efficient with lower carbon emissions.

The Energy Technology List is managed by the Carbon Trust. It is a list of technological products that meet its standards for carbon and energy efficiency. Businesses that buy products on the List can claim 100% of the value of the product against tax in year one. That's a nice incentive!
